We are thrilled to have three representatives from the church to preside over the Blessing of the Animals at Blessfest on October 2 taking place at Fairy Lake Park in Newmarket. I would like to introduce you to them

MEET FATHER GORDON SHEPPARD

Father Sheppard at the Blessing of Animals in October, 2010. It was a magical day, the animals loved it and everyone who attended left smiling. We are lucky to have Father Sheppard at Blessfest. It is fascinating to watch the effect he has on the animals he blesses.

After watching Charlie, a particularly grouchy old dog become docile while Father Sheppard blessed it, his owner commented she was sure Father Sheppard hypnotized him.

They must know he doesn't mind sloppy doggy kisses

Both Reverend Prisley and Reverend Anderson are from Christ Church Anglican Stouffville

They are dedicated animal lovers who also do a Blessing of Animals annually at their own church.

They are as excited to be at Blessfest as we are to have them.

Even if you choose not to have your pet blessed, if you watch the Blessing I assure you, it will be something you will never forget. Something that will bring a smile to your face whenever you think about it

There is no charge to have your pet(s) blessed but we ask that you register them online before the event

A donation box will be available for those who wish to show their appreciation

All money collected will be given to the church representatives
